My Real Passion

As a high school student, I am passionate about AI and IT because they have the potential to solve some of the most pressing challenges facing humanity. I have participated in various competitions, such as MCM, Kaggle, and USACO, where I have used my AI and IT skills to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. I am excited about the future of AI and IT, and I am committed to using my skills to make a positive impact on the world.

An Analysis of Elderly Care Services Using Machine Learning and Factor Rotation Method

  Machine Learning and Factor

   Rotation Method

  • Factor rotation like varimax simplifies the factor structure obtained from principal component analysis by maximizing the variance of each factor. This makes the factors more interpretable.

  • Rotated factors can be used as features for machine learning algorithms like k-means clustering and random forest classification.

  • Machine learning can identify patterns and relationships between the factors and the original variables. For example, clustering finds groups of similar observations based on factor values.

  • Classification algorithms like random forest can predict cluster membership and determine which factors are most important for the predictions.

Prompt Engineering

Prompt engineering is the art of crafting prompts that can help large language models (LLMs) like Bard and ChatGPT generate the desired output. It is a complex and challenging task, but it is essential for getting the most out of these powerful tools.

My Study in Prompt Engineering

  • Understand the capabilities of the LLM. Different LLMs have different capabilities. Be sure to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the LLM you are using before crafting your prompt.

  • Use natural language. The LLM is better at understanding and generating natural language than it is at understanding and generating code or other formal languages. Use natural language in your prompts whenever possible.

  • Be creative. There are no hard and fast rules for prompt engineering. Experiment with different prompts to see what works best for the task at hand.

Kaggle is a data science and machine learning platform owned by Google AI. It provides a cloud-based environment for data scientists and machine learning engineers to compete in machine learning competitions, work on data science projects, and share their knowledge with others.

HiMCM and MCM

The Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) is an international competition for high school students and college undergraduates. The contest challenges teams of up to three students to analyze, model, solve, and present solution reports to an open-ended application problem. In these contests research, analytics, and applied intelligence are just as important as time management and problem selection.

Team Work Drive Us Through

Since there were no classmates at my school who wanted to participate in the HiMCM competition this year, I had to invite three students from different high schools to form an ad hoc team to enter the competition.

So.I had the privilege of serving as team leader for this  HiMCM team. While I was excited about the opportunity, I was also aware of the challenges that lay ahead. Leading a team of talented and motivated students is no easy task, especially when the stakes are so high.

From the outset, I made it a priority to create a positive and supportive team environment. I encouraged my teammates to share their ideas and opinions, and I fostered a sense of collaboration and teamwork. I also made sure to delegate tasks fairly and to provide regular feedback.

During the competition, I worked closely with my teammates to develop a mathematical model and solve the problem. We faced some unexpected challenges along the way, but we never gave up. We worked tirelessly to produce a high-quality solution report, and we were thrilled to learn that we had won honorable mention.

I am proud of what my team accomplished in the HiMCM competition. Our success is a testament to the power of teamwork and leadership. I am grateful for the opportunity to have led such a talented and dedicated team.

Game and Model

We selected problem 3 --- Difficulty Coefficient and Prediction Model of Wordle, is a word puzzle game where players guess several letters word within a limited number of attempts, receiving feedback through colored tiles indicating correct and incorrect letters.it is a very interesting game and the model behind it is something like GPT self-attention model.

we first develop a model to explain this change, and use our model to create forecast range. We divide the characteristics of words into four modules, the number of participants R1, R2, the distance R3~R6, the frequency of occurrence R7~R11, and the correlation degree R12~R15.

John Locke Essay Competition

2023 Law:

Q2. Suppose that you were contemplating, in violation of the rules of this competition, submitting an essay written for you by artificial intelligence. What would be the difference between such an act and ordinary attempted theft?

Reward as High Recommended

Though I am not expert in law, this topic is covering very hot discussion about the future of AI and human-being. Per I limited understanding and research on IT and machine learning, set step in this new area now is not too late and very cool.

My essay covering following points:

  • Submitting an essay entirely generated by AI likely constitutes intellectual property theft under UK law. The AI model generates the content, but cannot own property rights since it is not a legal person.

  • Ownership is unclear between the AI company, end user, and training data. Users could argue they do not appropriate dishonestly due to this lack of clarity.

  • Using AI to win the essay competition prize money is more clearly theft - appropriating property dishonestly from the institute or rightful winner.

  • However, some AI usage like prompts or grammar checks may not violate competition rules. It depends on the extent of AI usage and whether the entrant believes it contravenes the rules.

  • There is a spectrum of AI usage, from plagiarism checks to full content generation. Whether a specific instance constitutes legal theft depends on the type and extent of usage and the entrant's reasonable beliefs.

  • Overall the law is currently unclear on AI authorship. As models become more advanced, clearer legislation and case law precedents will be needed to determine ownership and plagiarism boundaries. For now, human judgment is required to evaluate if AI essay usage crosses the line into dishonest theft in any specific case.
